Specialty Classes

Our dog training classes are for dogs five months and older, and these six week long obedience classes include more specialty classes such as tricks and games, and fine tuning your dog's behavior. Besides tricks and rally obedience, other classes concentrate on one area, such as greeting behavior, heeling, paying attention outdoors or from a great distance, and off-leash behavior. Most classes have a prerequisite and limited class size.

Four on the Floor!
Fine tuning greeting behavior

If you have been wanting to fine tune your dog's greeting behavior - this is the class for you. We will work on teaching your dog to keep all four paws on the ground when visitors come over or you've just walked in the door from a long day at work. Pre-requisite: Intermediate Family Dog Training.

Stop the Pulling!
Teach your dog to walk politely on leash

Is your dog always pulling? Does Ginger not realize you are on the other end of the leash? In this course we will focus on teaching your dog not to pull on leash, pay attention through distractions and ignore things they may find along the way that we would rather them not pick up (and possible eat!) while on their walk. This class is limited in size and will fill quickly!

The Great Outdoors

This class is designed to work on intermediate level training skills with all the distraction of the outdoors! The perfect preparation for handling real life situations.

Listen Up!
Getting your dog to pay attention anywhere...anytime!

Part of our New Master Class Program - this class will focus on getting your dog to pay attention to you, even when faced with the toughest of distractions!

Remote Control

You have trained your dog to listen well when you are near her, but if she is out 100 feet away from you does she know the difference between sit and come? In this class, control at a distance will be covered including long distance recalls, emergency stops (flying lie downs) and much more. Prerequisite: Outdoor Intermediate, Great Outdoors or Advanced.

Leashless

In this class we will work toward one goal - having your dog listen to you with no leash attached! We will focus on off-leash heeling, distance control, flying lie downs and much, much more!

Rally Obedience

Rally is an obedience sport where handlers complete a course comprised of many stations where dog and handler perform different cues. Clapping, talking and praise are encouraged, unlike traditional Obedience competitions. Rally is a fast paced, fun sport for anyone. Pure-bred and mixed breeds are welcome.

Tricks

Here is your chance to exercise your dog's mind and body. Learn fun tricks like 'High Five' and 'Crawl', along with practical ones including 'Put Your Toys Away'. Tricks are a wonderful way to have fun, and improve your relationship with your dog.
