Staff - Hope Rutten

Hope Rutten started with Dogs Best Friend in May 2005 as a volunteer and has been an assistant trainer since January 2006. Hope got interested in dog training after getting her first puppy, an Old English Sheepdog named Sherlock Homes. She and Sherlock have been through nearly all of the Family Dog Training Classes and the Canine Good Citizen and Agility classes. Hope spends her free time practicing Agility with Sherlock and taking lots of pictures to put on his own website that she updates for Sherlock - since he hasn't quite gotten the hang of typing. When she's not working with dogs, Hope is a Conference Coordinator for UW Extension on the Madison campus.
